Spinach and Gruyere Savoury Muffin

Hearty spinach, red peppers, and gruyere packed into your new favourite breakfast muffins.

What You’ll Need:

            2 Cups of Flour

            2 Teaspoons Baking Powder

            1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

            Salt and Pepper (To taste)

            1 Egg

            1/4 Cup Plain Yogurt

            1 1/2 Cups Milk

            1/3 Cup Olive oil

            2 Cups Spinach (Chopped)

            1 Red pepper (Chopped)

            1 Cup Gruyere Cheese (Shredded)


The How To:


  1. Measure It - Combine Flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl add your Egg, Milk, yogurt, and olive oil. Mix until well combined.


  1. Mix It - In batches slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet mix until just combined. Add your chopped Spinach, red pepper, and Gruyere cheese to your batter and gently fold in. Careful not to over mix. 


  1. Bake It - Scoop your batter into greased muffin tins and bake at 375° for 20-25 or are golden on top. or a toothpick comes out clean. 


  1. Serve It Up - Cool, serve, enjoy!
