Pesto Chicken Melt

 

What You’ll Need:

 2 Slices of Sourdough Bread

2 Tablespoons Pesto

1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise

3-4 Slices of Bacon

1/2 Cup Cooked Chicken Breast (shredded)

1/2 Cup Swiss Cheese (shredded)

A few slices of red onion

2-3 slices of Tomato

Black Pepper (to taste)

 

The How To:

 

  1. Lightly butter the outside of the Sourdough Bread slices, flip over the bread slices and spread the Pesto on one slice of the bread and Mayonnaise on the other side.

 

  1. Start by layering on half of the Cheese. On top of the Cheese, stack on the Bacon, Chicken Breast, Red Onion, and tomato slices, seasoning the Tomato with pepper to taste.

 

  1. Finish off your sandwich by adding the rest of the cheese on top and add the other slice of bread on top.

 

  1. Cook using a panini maker at 375° for 5-7 minutes. Or cook on the stove over medium heat, flipping halfway through. Make sure the outside is golden and the cheese has melted.

 

  1. Slice and enjoy!
