Cranberry Orange Bread
The perfect treat for Christmas morning, a bright fresh orange flavour, and the tart cranberries balance each other out well.
What You’ll Need:
1 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Milk
1 Teaspoon Orange zest
1/4 Cup Orange Juice
6 Tablespoons Butter
3/4 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Cups Fresh Cranberries
1/2 Tablespoon Flour
The How To:
- Preheat your oven to 350°, start by preparing a loaf pan by buttering it and dusting with flour.
- In a medium bowl add in your dry ingredients including, Flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix and set aside.
- In a small bowl mix together milk, orange juice, and orange zest. Set aside.
- In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar until combined. Add in eggs one a time incorporating fully after each addition.
- Mixing at a low speed add in your flour mixture and milk mixture in two parts, alternating between additions.
- Toss cranberries in ½ Tablespoon of flour and fold them into your batter. Spread the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 min or until a toothpick come out clean.
- Once baked let cool for 10 minutes and transfer to a wire rack to cool. Optional: Glaze after the loaf has cooled completely. Serve and enjoy!
