Apple Crumble Muffins

These dessert inspired muffins make a great option for a quick breakfast in the morning, an easy afternoon snack, or even a tasty dessert.

What You’ll Need:

 

For The Muffins:

 

3/4 Cup Apples (diced)

1 1/4 Cups Flour

1/2 Cup Sugar

1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg

 Pinch of Salt

1 Egg

1/2 Cup Milk

1/4 Cup Oil

 

For the Crumble Topping:

 

1/2 Cup Rolled Oats

1/4 Cup Butter

1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

 

The How To:

 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°. Line a 12 cup muffins trays with paper muffins cups.

 

  1. In a large mixing bowl add your flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until combined. Add in your diced apple pieces and toss well, making sure the apples are well coated.

 

  1. In a separate bowl add your milk, eggs, and oil. Combine and add your wet mixture to your dry ingredients. Folding it together gently, until your ingredients are just combined.

 

  1. Evenly divide your muffin batter into your prepared muffin tray.

 

  1. Combine all of your ingredients for the crumble into a bowl and mix together until you’ve reached a nice crumbly texture.

 

  1. Top each of the muffin with your crumb mix and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick come out clean.

 

  1. Let cool for 5 minutes and transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy!
